No Confidence
It’s THE defining term for this situation, a perfect storm of bullshit bouncing back and forth across party lines.
We’ve no confidence, as a people, in Alberto Gonzales. We have no confidence, as a people, in Democrats OR Republicans. Democrats, for failing to act on various issues that they were specifically elected for, and Republicans, for doing a piss- poor job in general.
From the Nation:
“New York Senator Chuck Schumer has for some weeks been calling for a vote of “no confidence” in Attorney General Alberto Gonzales. And it looks like he may get one – or, to be more precise, the start of a process that could lead to one — on Monday.
[…]
All Schumer’s vote would really do is force members of the senate to go beyond rhetoric and actually cast a vote that says they have lost faith in the ability of this attorney general to manage the Department of Justice or to deal honestly with Congress. That might be enough to shame Gonzales into quitting, but that’s assuming that the attorney general can be shamed.”
It’s all in vain.
History implicitly illustrates, that propaganda, government, and media go hand-in-hand and most people know it’s corrupt. The upper class will always oppress everyone with a lower status in a caste system. Old time socio-economics that benefit the wealthy, while the serf and prolitariate drown in a bourgeoisie culture.
All of that is unfortunate enough, but what really gets to me is the apathy from the people in this country. Complacent citizens that sit and watch their futures prosperity diminish. It’s shameful, considering the forthright nature of the internet. The way the information flow has changed empowers the user and can fascilitate lower and middle classes, but this passivity is rampant in the US and in our cultures.
Through not acting, we are sowing a terrible fate. This nation needs an enema.
